Body Slam

SO I was holding out on writing my blog until I had some dope pictures of Jello Wrestling but Beano has been doing to much school work to help me out. Anyway last weekend Sac and a few of my buddies made $200 worth of Jello for a week and got a kids pool with an old mattress underneath. Throw in a few hundred people down at the townhouses and you have yourself some of the craziest stuff I have ever seen. After watching for a bit I somehow managed to convince Robin Brooks to wrestle me thinking I could make a huge scene body slamming a girl. Then I got wrecked. Robin was relentless in making me look like the most pathetic man on the face of the earth nearly drowning me in red jello. Jello Wrestling is my cross training for the year. Robin watch out.

Needless to say I was sore as hell the next day at the xc running race. Training has been going really well I think. I felt really good during the running race on Saturday but didn't really have any leg speed. This has always been an issue for me and it makes doing track frustrating in the spring because I am in my best shape after skiing but can't even put up a fight. Sunday we had our first OD of the year out at River Road which is some of my favorite rollerskiing around here because there are barely any cars and you can go out and back and make it a three hour workout. We put in a two and a half hour Skate and I felt good the whole way.

The OD capped off a really solid week for me. Monday is the team's day off and all the guys get together and sauna in the afternoon, went for a short run before. Yesterday we got a hour Double pole in the morning and did 8 by 400 meter repeats at "threshold" in the afternoon. I was on pace with negative splits up until the last interval when everyone decided to smoke me. I am taking this morning off even though I don't have class till 7 tonight just so I can get a solid workout in this afternoon rather than two mediocre one.

I found a few pics of Facebook of wrestling. One of them is Robin on her way to dominating every match she was in.
