Yesterday the team headed out to Seven Springs and did ski walking intervals. Felt pretty solid except that I ate some food right before practice that didn't sit too well. Still really sore from the weekend and we had lifting in the morning yesterday so I was pretty stiff warming up but it felt good to open up a little bit in the intervals. All the guys were pretty close but Beano was making a good push at the end of each one. We were hoping to do 6 intervals with about 4 minutes of up time (maybe more? I never wear my watch...) but at the end of 5 my legs weren't feeling like I was at threshold, most of the other guys agreed and cut it there. Weather has been pretty good for training which is always nice and it feels like I am finally settled into school. Without class until 7 tonight I didn't wake up till noon today which is strange because I usually have a hard time sleeping in. I was hoping to get in a easy DP this morning but I guess I needed rest more than anything
http://www.fasterskier.com/training4519.html Nice little article by Liz on Fasterskier, I don't know if John Caldwell agrees though, I heard Bill Koch climbed ropes 37 times a day back in those golden days.
Speaking of washed up old men I better get some school work done before practice. Peace
